Famed Venture Capitalists, Entrepreneurs in US and China Gathered at SINA’s 2002 Annual China Business Conference

SINA launched event series focusing on investments in China and SINA SKY Messaging service for SMS messaging between US and China
San Mateo, Calif. – Sept 8, 2002 SINA (NASDAQ:SINA), a leading Chinese Internet media and services company with 10 China-domestic sites and 6 international sites, announced the successful conclusion of its 2002 China Business Conference in Silicon Valley. Conference participants and attendees includes famed venture capitalists and entrepreneurs from both US and China including Lip-Bu Tan, Chairman of Walden International, Gary Rieschel, Executive Managing Director, Mobius Venture (formerly, Softbank Venture), Albert Yu, ex-Senior VP of Intel, James Wei, Co-founder, Worldview Technology Partners, Ron Chen, CEO of ChinaCast, Ronald Chwang, Chairman, Acer Technology Ventures of America, Matt Ocko, Managing Director, Archimedes Capital, Joseph Tzeng, Managing Director, Crystal Venture. The number of attendees exceeded one thousand over the two-day conference.

Through such linkage, overseas Chinese are expected to send personal text, ring-tone and picture greetings to their love ones at home from emails or ICQ to mobile phone sets and vice versa.
